About the Role
As our Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and maintain the backbone of WerQ AI’s platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work closely with AI, data, and product teams to deploy new features reliably and ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance and security.Your expertise will be critical in enabling our users—job seekers, networkers, and learners alike—to enjoy a seamless experience, even as we scale to millions of users.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and optimize GCP-based infrastructure to support AI-driven applications and data pipelines.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Build and manage continuous integration and delivery workflows to enable rapid, automated deployments.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Implement tools and processes (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver) for real-time system monitoring, logging, and incident response.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices to protect sensitive user data, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Scalability & Reliability: Proactively plan for system capacity and performance, ensuring minimal downtime and fast response times.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Partner with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and full-stack developers to ensure infrastructure needs are understood and implemented effectively.

What You Can Do (Experience & Expertise):
- Product Leadership: Experience in a Product Management role, ideally within SaaS or AI-driven platforms.
- Hands-On GCP Experience: Strong track record managing and optimizing cloud environments (or AWS/Azure equivalent with a willingness to adapt to GCP).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies for reproducible, scalable infrastructure.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying containerized applications.
- CI/CD Automation: Experience setting up pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for continuous integration and delivery.
- Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or GCP-native solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Understanding of best practices in encryption, identity and access management, and network security protocols.

Salary
$140,000 - $160,000
