Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

  • The Surgical Technician II is responsible for supporting Registered Nurses and Surgeons in the Operating Room.
  • They handle sterile instruments during surgical procedures.
  • They monitor their sterile field and are responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instruments supplies and equipment.
  • Working as part of the OR team is essential.
  • Responsible for picking cases and room turn-over after procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years ORT experience preferred.
  • Graduate from an approved program for OR Technicians or equivalent preferred.
  • Current Certified OR Technician or equivalent CT ORG preferred.
