The hospital’s heart attack treatment times consistently beat the national average and the hospital offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.

Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
- The Surgical Technician II is responsible for supporting Registered Nurses and Surgeons in the Operating Room.
- They handle sterile instruments during surgical procedures.
- They monitor their sterile field and are responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instruments supplies and equipment.
- Working as part of the OR team is essential.
- Responsible for picking cases and room turn-over after procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
Preferred:
- Two (2) years ORT experience preferred.
- Graduate from an approved program for OR Technicians or equivalent preferred.
- Current Certified OR Technician or equivalent CT ORG preferred.
