Sr. Systems Administrator - Houston

We have a new opportunity to join our growing and dynamic Bruker IT team in Texas as a Systems Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, File servers, group policy, DFS, DHCP, and DNS
- Management of Cisco network LAN and Wireless equipment configurations
- Troubleshooting of Server and Network issues
- Expand documentation on existing systems and create new documentation when needed
- Assist in managing cloud services such as Azure and Microsoft 365
- Work as part of a team to monitor, maintain and improve all Azure managed storage, networking, VMs, databases, apps etc.
- Perform some IT helpdesk duties as required (Tier 1 and 2 support escalations)
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years related professional work experience in a Systems Administrator role
- Bachelor Degree in related field with Computer Science or Industry certifications
- Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
- System Administration
- Solid experience with VMware including administration and configuration
- In depth knowledge of managing File Servers and DFS
- Able to create and manage Group Policy in an organized, logical, and scalable manner
- Skilled at managing Active Directory infrastructure
- Strong emphasis on Windows security and best practices
- Familiar with DHCP, Print Server and DNS administration
- Network Administration
- Strong Network Administration skills
- Experienced in managing VLANs and Meraki Wireless Networks
- Comfortable with CLI administration of Cisco network infrastructure
- Constantly thinks about security and scalability
- Adept at creating network diagrams
- Cloud
- - Experience working in Azure IAAS environments required
- Functional experience with Azure services: Storage Accounts, File Sync, Firewalls, VNets and Private Endpoints, etc.
- Operational knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft 365
- Azure Certification a plus
- Helpdesk
- Experience supporting O365 corporate user environment
- Computer deployment and upgrades using SCCM
- Ticketing system triage and management
- VIP support – white glove treatment
- Hardware and Software
- Experience configuring Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell EMC Storage solutions
- Familiarity with Cisco LAN, Meraki, Dell and Synology products
- Experience with Veeam, Lansweeper a plus
- Support of Video conferencing solutions (MS Teams rooms)
- General / Other
- Excellent organization and documentation skills
- Travel as required (valid Driver’s license)
- Server room facility work (ability to work in tight spaces and lift 40lbs)
- Working knowledge of Powershell scripting required
- Strong communication skills and desire to learn quickly
- Able to work independently and with little oversight
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., transport equipment and tools in excess of 200 lbs.
- This position requires lifting heavy objects and maneuvering bulky items
- This position requires reasonable dexterity to perform manual functions in confined spaces.
- Proven ability to follow safety standards, practices, and codes.
- Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
- Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
- May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
