Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health the Central Service Distribution Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Central Service Department under the direction of the Central Service Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- One (1) year of storeroom or shipping experience or CSR distribution experience required; however the experience requirement is waived for individuals who have completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Familiarity with various Materials Management systems.
- Basic computer skills. i.e. Data entry e-mail and handhelds.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of linen principles desired.
