Overview:

This position is responsible for assisting in performing independent quality control and risk assessment of daily operations and business transactions of the Branch including performing QA on periodic customer KYC Refresh, new customer on-boarding activities, trigger event reviews, and maintaining appropriate documentation in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures; delivering a range of support in the areas of fraud prevention, risk mitigation and quality control; assist in preparing relevant risk management and quality control reports and/or quality assurance reports as required, and performing any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Branch Management.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Testing and Risk Monitoring and Control
  • This position will work in the KYC and Compliance related QA
  • Review and monitor the daily operations and business transactions of the Branch on a sample basis; escalate any risk issues to Team Head and Branch Management;
  • Strictly adhere to the Bank’s policies and guidelines, including risk parameters, risk assessment and monitoring procedures, and reporting mechanism;
  • Design the attributes for all business lines and customer review process in order to capture the risk and also ensure that the set policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are met and complied;
  • Gain comprehensive and detailed understanding of each business line’s products and operations so as to perform accurate quality control over its daily transactions;
  • Assist in designing and implementing a QA/QC Framework and Plan for the Branch;
  • Test samples, verify and assess the Customers’ Risk Ratings and Customer Profiles; Prime/TTMS alerts; Customer Onboarding, Review and Refresh and Off-boarding meet with the set requirements on CIP, CDD, EDD and SDD;
  • Document and follow-up with case(s)/issue(s) for both reporting and problem-solving purpose;
  • Analyze and provide the QA/QC result in order to propose and implement ongoing improvements; identify relevant remedial actions;
  • Provide constructive feedbacks on the Bank’s policies and procedures;
  • Timely and accurately complete all risk assessment and quality assurance reports;
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of operational process and transaction inputs on the T24 System and periodically review Business Continuity Plan tests conducted at the Branch;
  • Work closely with the business lines, KYC Team, and the Branch’s Compliance Officer about suspicious activities detected and report to Branch management;
  • Coordinate with the business lines to improve data quality;
  • Assist in coordination of audit activities; assist in response to Examiner’s, Internal and External Auditors’ inquiries; take corrective actions based on audit findings;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business Administration or Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines. Master’s degree or above is highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Banking Operations, Quality Assurance and Control, Risk Management experience in banking industry are required.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required
  • Knowledge of Financial/Banking industry, vendor management, and risk management is required
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC/KYC/EDD/CDD, Anti-Boycott Law, Export Administrations Act, Sanctions Check and Sino-US Trade and economic updates are required
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) are preferred
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Chinese are highly preferred

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
