Responsibilities:

This position is accountable for assuming leadership in the area of regulatory and government agency educational requirements related to competency validation. As such, alignment will be made between all guidelines with current policy, processes, and evidence-based practice.

In addition, this position will also provide resources and support to promote professional development throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State
  • Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of 5 years acute care experience in a critical care or emergency specialty
  • Minimum of 5 years previous educational experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with accreditation and regulatory survey
  • Master’s preparation in nursing and/or education, or comparable graduate education required
  • Doctoral prepared preferred
  • Must be able to travel to a variety of Prime Healthcare facilities on an as needed basis
