Diesel Technician
DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Riviera Beach, FL.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
+ Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
+ Maintain own tools
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
**(Advanced):**
+ Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
+ Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
+ Completes complex internal engine repairs
+ Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
+ Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
+ Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
+ Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience:**
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire, must be 21 years old to obtain CDL. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report.ORDER, DOT Physical and DMV Report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD This position will be a part of the FTA pool. ORDER, FTA Drug Test
Hours are 7:30AM- 4PM and are subject to change depending on business needs.
**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
CDL - CLASS B
DOT- A current valid CDL is required for this role.
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
- This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
