We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, processing credit applications, and resolving customer inquiries. This position is based in Abingdon, Virginia, 24212, United States.

Responsibilities:

Analyzing various accounts for accuracy and balance
Preparing and posting monthly journal entries to ensure accurate record-keeping
Conducting audits on monthly financial statements and expense analysis
Managing asset and liability work papers and maintaining balanced accounts
Calculating and auditing gross profit percentages through detailed analysis of accounts and reports
Corresponding with other departments to resolve issues related to gross profit and financial statements
Handling the preparation and filing of business license renewals and tax returns
Maintaining fixed assets and preparing capital expenditure budgets
Preparing audit work papers and profiling financial statements
Scheduling grocery/pharmacy inventories and preparing budgets and goals
Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks.

Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
Understanding of General Ledger maintenance
Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
Competence in handling Month End Close procedures
Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
Experience with Oracle financial software
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
Familiarity with SAP financial management systems
