Role Overview
A Butler’s mission is to create exceptional client experiences by offering and deliver utmost hospitality service in the boutique environment and upholding the Cartier standards as a Maison Ambassador.
Responsibilities
Create and Coordinate Exceptional Client Experiences & Hospitality:
- Deliver an exceptional attention to the client upon the start of their Cartier journey and ensure outstanding hospitality throughout their visit.
- Anticipate clients/guests needs’ by learning their preferences, allergies, dislikes in partnering with the sales associate. Serve food and beverages choices based on client’s preferences.
- Preparing and serving pastries, hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Have a thorough understanding of foods and beverages offered as well as eligible vendors throughout the city.
- Describing menu items to clients/guests, taking orders and servicing them. Recommend and arrange amenities for guests.
- Supervising operationality the areas dedicated to hospitality such as the bar, dining room, catering pantries.
- Ensuring permanent readiness of these spaces, equipment and supplies to accommodate any unexpected request.
- Ordering, receiving, and distributing of necessary supplies.
- Assist the team with various activities to facilitate seamless and elevated client experience during appointments.
- Receiving and processing customer payments when applicable.
- Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism, and a pleasant demeanor
- Consistently reach and exceed all KPIs.
Optimize the Boutique Environment:
- Responsible for the general upkeep and appearance of the boutique with a priority on all hospitality related aspects and areas.
- Coordinate hospitality supply inventory including replenishment needs, order process, and optimal storage organization.
- Monitor supply costs and ordering strategy to remain within budget and corporate guidelines as instructed by the management.
- Effectively communicate and take initiative when cleaning is required, before and after selling appointments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized hospitality areas (bar, dining room, pantries, lounges and selling desks).
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment, service and seating areas. Keep up-to-date on all safety and hygiene policies.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Develop industry and Maison knowledge:
- Develop understanding and knowledge of the Maison and products to convey Cartier heritage and values.
- Engage clients through ability to story tell and share key facts and historical/brand focused stories.
- Understand and comply with security and operational procedures.
- Remain current on all industry news and the local/global competition to effectively coordinate boutique business.
- Share and collaborate best practices with boutique team members.
Be a Maison Ambassador:
- Uphold the Cartier standards with ability to project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.
- Contribute to a positive and productive boutique environment by leveraging both personal and team savoir-faire to create a highly collaborative network at all times both in person and via telephone.
Qualifications
Education:
- Preferred associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hotel management.
Industry Experience:
- At least one year of experience as a Butler or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience in luxury retail or service industry is a plus.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills and use of technology.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
Personal Skills:
- Must be available to work retail hours (including weekends & holidays), and travel for trainings as needed.
- Must be able to stand all day and exhibit psychical strength.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Strong understanding and commitment for highest client service standards and priorities.
- Strong attention to details with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
- Knowledge of area restaurants, theaters and other attractions as well as food and wine pairings is a plus.
- Collaborative approach with ability to foster a united work environment with a “can do” attitude.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for learning.
- Open to travel and support on offsite events as needed.
Expected Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000
Please note, salaries will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
