Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT/Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, particularly with Microsoft Azure, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage and maintain Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security configurations.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and other automation tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with Azure services.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize resources for cost-efficiency.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure services, technologies, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services, including VMs, storage, networking, and security.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and other automation tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPN, VNet, subnetting, and firewall configurations.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
