Responsibilities:Read blueprints, wiring diagrams or technical diagrams before doing work Install and maintain wiring and lighting systems in businesses and factoriesInstall, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment Maintain and repair, equipment, and control systems in businesses and factoriesInspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, and switch gears Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric CodePerform preventative maintenanceComplete work orders and record material utilized on jobs Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans
