Production Associate-Assembly
Location: New Bedford, MA
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Production Associate/Assembler to join our client’s team. In this role, you will work with small parts and perform a variety of simple to moderately complex operations to assemble products with precision and care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform short-cycle, repetitive hand assembly operations involving various product parts such as frames, preforms, bottoms, ground pins, lead frames, beads, pins, and eyelets.
- Use a variety of hand tools and equipment, including tweezers, magnets, mallets, vibrators, magazines, carbon molds, glass beads, and tape machines.
- Assemble parts while ensuring contamination is prevented using finger cots.
- Place completed molds in trays or on cardboard and apply tape as needed.
- Work from flowsheet folders, blueprints, process sheets, and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate lead-cutting machines to trim lead frames to specified sizes.
- Utilize magnifiers and related equipment to ensure precision and quality.
- Perform additional assembly tasks and move materials as required.
- Detect and report any faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor or group leader.
- Maintain established quality standards and adhere to quality procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and orderly.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Be flexible to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work overtime when required, with notice, in line with company policy.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working with small parts and repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with hand tools and assembly equipment preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What We Offer:
- Salary Minimum: $18.48hour
- Salary Maximum: $21.26/hour
