We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in managing and processing invoices, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, and providing a supportive role in our weekly check runs.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintaining detailed and accurate customer credit records
• Ensuring prompt and accurate data entry of invoices
• Validating and verifying the authenticity of invoices
• Providing assistance during weekly check runs by preparing checks for dispatch
• Allocating invoices to the correct location for precise record-keeping
• Utilizing your skills in Accounts Payable, Check Runs, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, and Expense Vouchers to ensure smooth operations
• Providing supportive assistance on other accounts payable duties as needed
• Handling a significant volume of invoices weekly and ensuring their proper management. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and processes
• Experience with Check Runs
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Expertise in Invoice Processing
• Ability to handle Expense Vouchers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience using accounting software is preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• High School diploma or equivalent is required, further education in finance or accounting is a plus.
