We are looking for a proficient Bookkeeper to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry based in New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is fully onsite. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing customer transactions, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
- Maintain and update customer credit records regularly.
- Handle the accounts payable and receivable functions of the organization.
- Utilize accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
- Validate figures, postings, and documents for precise entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Classify and record financial data to keep financial records updated.
- Use accounting software to debit, credit, and total accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Manage cash, checks, and voucher receipts, recording and banking them as required.
- Comply with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Generate statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports related to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. • Must have extensive experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
- Must have strong Bookkeeping skills
- Ability to perform Data Entry tasks with high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience in performing Month End Close processes
- Knowledge of Payroll management is essential
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks software is a must
- Must have a background in the Real Estate & Property industry
- The applicant must have strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a high level of integrity and reliability
- Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines is desirable
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
