Staff Accountant - Ankeny

Robert Half has partnered with an esteemed company in Ankeny that is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a long-term contract position. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of the organization and requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Detailed review and preparation of revenue, cost of sales, expense, and balance sheet account reconciliations
2. Development and maintenance of key financial reports
3. Assisting in budget preparation and management
4. Management of accounts payable and receivable
5. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and corporate policies, procedures, and regulations
6. Assisting in annual audits
7. Contribute to special projects to improve reporting, analytical tools, and internal processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum 3+ years accounting experience is required.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
4. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
5. Working knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Experience with accounting software.
