Senior Manufacturing Engineer

A Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Fremont, CA area. This role involves independently overseeing the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, ensuring quality standards, evaluating cost-effectiveness, and applying professional expertise to improve efficiency and resolve issues.

responsibilities:

• Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines, and systems.
• Ensures quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process.
• Oversees installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
• Evaluates mechanical products to determine cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Individual contributor role requiring judgment in applying professional expertise.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Roles typically require a university degree or extensive practical knowledge gained through experience.
• Requires understanding and application of procedures and concepts specific to the discipline.
• Attention to detail needed for making evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
• Typically requires a degree or equivalent experience, with 2 or more years of experience.
