Legal Assistant: Estate & Trust Practice Group
Our client is a growing law firm that is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join the firm's Estate & Trust Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in estate planning and estate/trust administration, and be proficient in all aspects of legal assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in the Estate & Trust practice group.
Prepare fiduciary accountings and other financial documents.
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client communications.
Open and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries as needed.
Proactively identify and address potential issues, ensuring deadlines are met and cases run smoothly.
Provide exceptional client service, building strong relationships and maintaining open communication.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in estate planning and estate/trust administration.
Proficiency in legal document preparation, file management, typing/word processing, telephone coverage, scheduling, and billing.
Experience with preparing pleadings and simple motions.
Familiarity with electronic court filing and electronic docketing software.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage busy calendars for multiple attorneys.
Proactive approach with the ability to produce high-quality documents under tight deadlines.
