Security Engineer
Compensation: $150,000
Location: Commerce, CA (Onsite 3 days per week)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team and lead the charge in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to protect our organization's critical systems and data. As a key member of the security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT infrastructure while driving innovation in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities- Security Tools: Implement, monitor, and optimize security tools like SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze results, and develop strategic remediation plans.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, investigate security incidents, and identify root causes using tools like Splunk, ELK, or Sumo Logic.
- Penetration Testing & Red Teaming: Conduct penetration tests and red team exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and simulate real-world attack scenarios.
- Automation: Develop scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline security tasks, automate vulnerability scanning, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to respond to security alerts and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in information security and technology roles.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include SSCP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GIAC.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with security frameworks (CMMC, CIS, NIST).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of network security, IDS/IPS, and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with open-source security tools like Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, and others.
- Cloud security experience in SaaS/IaaS/PaaS environments, particularly Azure.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Additional Experience:
- Azure Government Cloud Community (GCC) High and FedRAMP is a plus.
- Knowledge of secure web gateways, endpoint security, and application firewalls.
