11am - 7:30pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours
Salary range -$23.46-$31.43
We're seeking a SPD Surgical Technician for Emory TEC Clinic Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety and care for all patients.
This individual will:
- Assemble surgical instrument trays and pans and delivers sterilized items to the operating room. Assembles special procedure trays for such complex surgeries as open heart, transplant, major orthopedic surgeries, neurosurgical, laparoscopic, and spine surgeries.
- Must have Cardiac experience
- be accountable for the care and handling of instruments and equipment in designated service line(s).
- be responsible for standardization maintenance of all designated service line(s) instrument trays. Ensures designated instrument tray inventory completeness, maintenance, readiness for daily surgical cases.
- Use computers to scan PIC tickets on instrument trays and case cart protocol. Responsible for designated case cart readiness for daily surgical schedule.
- Properly operate cleaning and sterilization equipment such as washers, sterilizers, sonic cleaners and cart washers. Restocks prep areas with supplies and takes inventory of sterile instrument pans and trays.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Successful completion of a surgical technologist training program.
- Certified as a surgical technologist or sterile processing technician required.
- Two years surgical technologist experience required.
