Overview:

As a key member of the management team, this position serves as a trusted business partner to executive management. This role ensures that products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The VP of Quality will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives, implement best practices, and enhance overall operational efficiency. You will lead a growing team that will proactively bring Quality to the forefront in our NPD process.

Improving quality assurance in “new product development” projects will be a key focus area. Responsibility includes quality assurance during product development, manufacturing and field quality (after sales) in North America.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategy for the Americas Quality function, as well as objectives and guidance for execution by the Americas manufacturing sites.

Promote a culture that results in the behavior, attitudes, activities and processes which deliver value through fulfilling the needs and expectations of customers and other relevant interested parties (installers, consumers, building owners, mechanical contractors).

Act as member of the senior leadership team both in Americas sales region as well as in LIXIL International’s quality management team and maintain effective engagement with Americas Commercial management team, R&D, plants and procurement (including supplier quality management).

Enhance LIXIL’s capability to create and deliver value by promoting attention, communication, activities, insights and programs for ensuring competent, empowered and engaged people at all levels throughout the organization.

Efficiently and effectively design, develop, implement, maintain a Quality Management System, according to the appropriate ISO management system standards, which must be certified by an external auditing firm.

Strengthen the sub-functional areas of Americas Quality management through concurrent leadership. Initial focus is on the critical area of new product development quality assurance.

Key requirement will be to design, develop and realize/ deliver products and services which satisfy our customers from a holistic quality perspective.

Derive product quality improvement activities from claim statistics and customer feedback.

Establish and drive respective improvement projects, aiming primarily at improving customer satisfaction and reducing our total “cost of poor quality”.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

A minimum of 15 years in Engineering, Production, or Quality leadership roles in a discrete manufacturing environment.

Critical competencies include: Leadership, Planning, Adaptability, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Building Trust, Communications, Customer Focused, Presentation Skills, and Decision Making.

Proven success leading teams in roles that had increasing supervisory and management responsibility.

Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and serve as a change agent.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, both with technical/ operations as well as commercial organizations.

Consultative working style, able to effectively interface with various levels of leadership.

Able to quickly build, manage and foster a highly productive, team-oriented environment.

Professional Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

Hiring Range:

The Hiring Salary Range for Piscataway, NJ: $145,000 to $220,000 annually.

Hiring Salary Range for remote hires only: $125,000 - $190,000 annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

Other Compensation (if applicable): This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
