Director, Quality Management

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

This position holds the primary responsibility to oversee the organization wide quality management program including quality initiatives, performance improvement, and clinical outcomes. Responsible to assure compliance related to all regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Engaged in Pay-for-Performance (P4P) programs, CMS Star Ratings, HEDIS, Leapfrog, and Value-Based Purchasing. Responsible for providing direction and leadership to the hospital’s Quality Management Program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Baccalaureate degree in a management or healthcare related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Five years’ experience in a hospital environment. At least three years’ experience in supervision of a hospital department related to requirements of the job in the area of quality management, and medical staff processes. Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and managing corrective action plans.

Proficient in using quality metrics and data analytics to drive improvements.

Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and skills in administration and leadership, employee relations, communication, management of fiscal resources, and legislation affecting quality/risk management, medical records, and medical staff

License/Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related degree.
Equipment: Experience with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other general software programs.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$69.76 - $104.64

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
