Cost Accountant

We are offering an opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join our team located in Brecksville, Ohio. This role revolves around maintaining and analyzing cost accounting principles in a standard cost environment and project costing. You will play a pivotal role in our team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
• Maintain and control the standard cost system.
• Apply corporate accounting guidelines in addition to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Operate and maintain ERP systems, with exposure to LN ERP system being a strong advantage.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and analytical skills in managing accounting functions.
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
• Communicate effectively, both written and orally, to address and resolve customer inquiries.
• Prioritize tasks independently and bring issues to resolution.
• Occasionally travel internationally for business purposes.
• Utilize skills in 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP
• Financial Services', 'Crystal Reports', 'Epicor', 'ERP
• Enterprise Resource Planning', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Auditing', 'Budget Processes', 'Cash Activity' to enhance job performance.
• Must hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desirable.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is an asset.
• Familiarity with Epicor software is preferred.
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.
• Capable of performing all Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Prior experience in Auditing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is crucial.
• Demonstrated ability to handle Cash Activity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
