Senior Flight Controls Engineer - Annapolis

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Flight Controls Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have an opportunity to do the following:

  • Provide innovative, technical solutions to solve complex problems on advance aircraft
  • Provide technical and programmatic support and oversight on Navy aircraft platforms including F-35, E-2, and F-18.
  • Perform control law design and analysis
  • Analyze redundancy management of safety critical control systems
  • Support Built-In-Test (BIT) design
  • Perform Flight Control System integration testing (including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-aircraft)
  • Analyze flight control systems including flight control computers, software, hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, and mechanical flight control linkages
  • Support the flight control system software support activity

Qualifications:

  • The ability to obtain a Secret clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical discipline
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in at least one of the following
  • Flight Control Law design and analysis
  • Flight Control system simulation and hardware in the loop
  • Flight Control system testing (ground, flight, and lab environment)
  • Flight Control Software development, integration, analysis, and test
Pay Transparency Statement:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $92,100.00/Yr. - USD $193,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
