Senior Business Change Project Manager

Reporting into the Mercer UK Transformation & Change Team, you will be responsible for managing complex, broad, and / or multi-year projects and programmes end-to-end to deliver business outputs, ensuring that projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction
You will manage business readiness throughout the change lifecycle; managing resistance and stakeholder strategies to enable successful change and benefit realisationEngage and contribute as a member of the Transformation & Change Community of Practice to share lessons learned and improve methods and standards across the organisation

We will rely on you to:
Support planning and delivery of strategic, transformational change programmes / projects to ensure effective integration and operationalisation of changes into the organisationBe responsible for managing the end-to-end to delivery of complex projects or programmes ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to a high level of (internal) client satisfaction
Manage stakeholders and build effective partner relationships to ensure the best outcomes for the business via challenging conversations where required
Use critical thinking skills to enable effective decisions based on feedback from key stakeholders and subject matter experts
Review customer journeys and value streams, offer forward thinking perspectives on how proposed changes can enhance the user experience
Recommend any changes to the transformational change management framework, processes and tool sets
Provide effective, clear communication of progress and points of escalation to key stakeholders including sponsors, workstream leaders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers, where applicableDevelop and maintain detailed, robust, high-quality project and change management artefacts including stakeholders, resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc., keeping plans updated throughout the project lifecycle
Understand the impact of time, cost and scope changes and make adjustment using formal change control procedures. Ensure all changes are communicated appropriately
Manage dependencies with other initiatives and negotiate resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities
Provide proactive risk and issue management, through the validation and control of uncertainties and assumptions
Driving faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation of, and proficiency of the changes that impact the business and employeesEngaging key stakeholders to establish project success factors and gain effective buy-in ensuring that work is prioritised and appropriate resources are made available
Building and maintaining effective relationships with senior business partners, and third parties. Becoming a trusted advisor and helping facilitate timely decision-making and trade-offs throughout the project lifecycle
Developing detailed, robust, high-quality delivery roadmaps, change management strategies and project plans including: change impact, stakeholders, resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc. for large scale, complex projects and programmes
Facilitating the identification of and enabling effective, provable realisation of benefits
Acting as the first line of assurance to mitigate risk and uncertainty exposures
Ensuring assumptions are validated to control the risk profile of projects
Working closely with, or as part of wider portfolios, programmes, project workstreams, and regularly interfaces with internal management including digital and technology
Ensuring that all technical and business requirements are correctly translated into tangible outputs
Negotiating resource requirements with responsible business leaders when faced with conflicts in priorities
Serving as the subject matter expert in project and business change management, supports the business being served, and ensures the right tools, templates and governance structures are utilisedDelegating work to and guides professional and support staff, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures
What you need to have:
Experience managing complex and major business change-focused programmes and projects in management consulting or equivalent-sized business environmentsDemonstrable resilience and ability to tolerate and manage ambiguity
Be well-versed in leading or overseeing business and technology solutions delivery lifecycles, using appropriate disciplines and methodologies
Be self-sufficient and highly motivated, with the ability to in a global matrix environment
Change management credentials, e.g. leading people and client change journeys
Strong stakeholder management and communications skills with ability and gravitas to operate and influence at Senior Management level
