Elementary School Nurse - NJSCHRN

• Pay: Total stipend of $120,000 annually

Qualifications:

1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
3. Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
4. Must pass a criminal background check

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare support for students in grades K-5, including first aid, care for minor injuries, and medication administration.
• Maintain detailed records for each student’s health, including immunization status, illnesses, and medical conditions.
• Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to ensure that students with medical needs are receiving the necessary support.
• Conduct screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis, and refer students to the appropriate professionals as needed.
• Assist with developing and implementing health education programs for students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student health concerns and follow-up actions.
