Contract Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Perm)

Job Description:

• ***Work exclusively reconciling invoices. The ideal candidate will have some Planview and Ariba experience, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices. Attention to detail is a must ***
• The Staff Accountant will review contracts/SOWs and IT invoices for appropriate coding and accounting guidance treatment.

This Position Will Have Responsibility For:

• Review and reconcile IT invoices based on hours entered in PPM tool (Planview)
• Vouch labor invoices against timesheets to ensure they comply with accounting policy (Capital vs. Expense)
• Review contracts and SOWs for pertinent details
• Create contracts or purchase requisitions in Ariba based on information in SOW
• Work with vendors to monitor aging items and to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with Project Management Team
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Help ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures
• Work with business partners to obtain information supporting accruals and adjustments

Required:

• 1-3 years of accounting or relevant experience is required.
• Solid analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge are required.
• The candidate must be a self-starter with a willingness to work hands-on.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment is required.
• A BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and a CPA is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word is required; knowledge of SAP or Ariba is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have some experience with Planview and Ariba.
