Overview:
Performs all duties of the Medical Assistant. Supports the leadership to ensure consistency and competence in facilitating Medical Assistant new hire orientation, training, and job responsibilities. Demonstrates knowledge of and provide training in Medical Assistant clinic workflows, standard processes, provider directed patient care, and in accordance with WakeMed policies and procedures.
Models adherence to the standards of care, approved protocols, and standing orders. Seeks educational resources and learning experiences to achieve and maintain currency in the area of practice. Communicate effectively among clinical staff and physicians.

Must be available for flexible scheduling, able to work in various locations, and comfortable with change. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices. The required registration/certification must be one of the following: American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants and the National Center for Competency Testing.
