Intern, Technical Support (Mechanical Engineering)
Overview:
Any Technical Support intern or co-op working at a GD-OTS location.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
- Assists with technical tasks and project support.
- Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
- Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
- Learns technical processes and procedures.
- Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
- May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
- Handles basic issues and problems
Basic Qualifications:
Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation.
Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communciation skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.
Pay Range (USD): $45,760.00 - $56,160.00
Pay Transparency Statement:The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.

Additional Compensation: Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
