As a Playcare Attendant you are responsible for supervising and interacting with children from ages 3 months -12 years old. Responsibilities:
The Playcare Attendant's typical job functions include:
- Helping plan and prepare materials for activities, implementing activities for the children, and attentively watching and attending to the children ages 3 months -12 years
- Reading to children, and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handcrafts, and songs
- Providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use for imaginative play
- Organizing and participating in recreational activities, such as games
- Organizing and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas
- Maintaining a clean, safe and fun child care environment
- Assisting children in getting dressed for their afternoon SnowSports lessons after activities are finished, attending to children’s needs throughout the day; restroom break, napping or staying with children who are not participating while their class is outside
- Enforcing all administration policies and rules governing students
- Ensuring safe play conditions and follows established security procedures
Qualifications:
This position may be for you if:
- You are over 18 years old
- You have achieved a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- You have experience working with children
- You possess strong public relations skills and excellent communications skills
- You have the ability to work well with children and display patiences
- You have the ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances
- You are able to frequently walk, stand, sit, talk and lift often as the job requires
