Technical Writer, Senior - Ft. Belvoir
Responsibilities:
OBXtek is currently staffing for a Technical Writer, Senior position supporting the Army’s Product Manager Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) organization.
Below is a list of expectations the candidate must meet for this effort:
- Researching topics, writing documents and editing their work for publication.
- Assist Technical Leads in writing technical documentation for IT and networking hardware/software systems development, implementation, and operation.
- Assist Technical Leads in writing necessary documentation for the Government to undertake and manage project system acquisitions.
- Assist Technical Leads in writing necessary documentation for Continuity of Operations.
- Assist the PMO in writing necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and program IT and networking hardware/software systems processes
- Assist the PMO in writing requirement documents, acquisitions documents, and various other documentation on complex subjects used in a PMO.
- Manage updates and revisions to Infrastructure Technology technical literature.
- Adept in quickly grasping complex technical concepts and making them understandable in text and online help.
- Use and contribute to the company’s style and branding guide.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) directly related to this role.
- Translate complex and technical information into an intuitive and straightforward format that is easy to digest.
- Standardize learning designs material across various media (SharePoint, web portal, documents repository) according to organizational templates, branding standards and style guidelines.
- Recommend new tools, support materials and learning opportunities for the team you will be supporting.
Hybrid: In Office Tue and Thurs. Remote M-W-F.
Qualifications:
Secret Clearance- 8-10 years of relatable Technical Writing functions.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a MA/MS degree
Security Clearance: Secret
