Our client is a well-established general contractor with over 65 years of experience, specializing in both commercial and government sectors. As a top 400 ENR contractor, they handle a wide range of projects, including commercial, education, healthcare, civic, municipal, and government work.Originally based in California, they are expanding into the Maryland area to follow a key client. They have several upcoming projects at the Indian Head military base and are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage these exciting, high-profile initiatives.
Job Description
The Senior Project Manager - Indian Head NSF - Construction will be responsible for:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of multiple projects with budgets of up to $50M.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
- Oversee both self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring subcontractor performance aligns with project expectations.
- Develop cost estimates and manage construction methods for commercial and institutional building projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date safety certifications.
- Track and report project progress to senior management, ensuring timely completion and effective resolution of any issues.
- Use project management software and other tools to monitor project status, budgets, and timelines.

The Successful Applicant
The Senior Project Manager - Indian Head NSF - Construction will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or 10+ years of directly relevant experience in place of a degree.
- At least 7 years of experience working with a commercial or industrial general contractor, or 12+ years of equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing construction projects, including estimating and overseeing both subcontracted and self-performed work.
- Expertise in construction techniques for commercial and institutional buildings, as well as site work.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting is preferred.
- Valid OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
- CQC certification from USACE/NAVFAC is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance is an advantage.
