In this role as Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery and facilities. Your primary mission will be to identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Key Essential Job Duties of Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
- Conducting routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on various types of equipment, machinery, or systems. This may include troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
- Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions, mechanical problems, or electrical issues. Responsible for assessing the problem, determining the appropriate course of action, and executing repairs or coordinating with specialized technicians if necessary.
- Performing scheduled maintenance activities, such as lubricating parts, changing filters, calibrating instruments, replacing worn out components, or conducting system checks.
- Addressing maintenance requests or work orders submitted by other departments or employees.
- Assisting with the installation, setup, or upgrade of new equipment, machinery or systems.
- Conducting safety inspections to identify potential hazards or risks.
- Cooperating with other departments or teams, such as production, engineering, or facilities, to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and ensure efficient operations.
- Staying updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and relevant regulations.
- Following established safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Job Requirements:
- One to five years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a printing environment strongly preferred.
Hours:
Currently seeking day shift (7:00am - 4:00pm) and 3rd (5:00pm - 2:00am). Please note, there may be some flexibility regarding hours, to be discussed during the interview.
Wages:
Starting wage up to $30.50 per hour including shift differential, based on experience. Maintenance staff are required to work some overtime. This position offers a Compensation Tier Program for continuous learning and pay increases, ask for details.
