Group Facilitator
New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Livonia - 5 Mile
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other full-time equivalent.
Reports To: Clinical Director / Clinical SupervisorCompensation: Hourly Employee. $19-$22/ hour; Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The FACE to FACE Group Facilitator plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive clinical care within the FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Program. This position involves a wide range of clinical responsibilities, including leading therapeutic groups and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.The Group Facilitator is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care in an acute setting, ensuring that all consumers receive the support and treatment they need to achieve optimal outcomes.

Essential Duties / Functions:
- Acts in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility and actively participates as a positive and engaged member of the clinical team and environment, supporting a collaborative work environment.
- Serves as the first level of support for daily group facilitation.
- Provides daily group facilitation to consumers in the FACE to FACE Program, adhering to professional standards and the facility’s policies and procedures.
- Implements treatment plans developed by Associate and Lead Therapists, utilizing a person-centered approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual consumer.
- Assists with discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
- Appropriately handles any crisis situation that may occur such as: CPI-approved physical intervention if necessary; CPR if necessary and pursuing eloping clients.
- Completes documentation as required by the clinic’s policies and procedures.
- Fulfills all initial and ongoing training requirements.
- Attends and participates in daily FACE to FACE administrative and clinical meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions: Staff are to dress professionally at all times per the Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social work, professional counseling, psychology, or a related field required. Mental health experience preferred. Must be able to work well with all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
