Overview:
The Opportunity
The Clinical Director serves as the program’s student and family support liaison. They oversee the Social Emotional Learning component of the school. The Clinical Director implements programs, events, and activities that increase student exposure to work-life, trade school, college, and other post-secondary opportunities.Additionally, supports and tracks students transitioning from secondary education to post-secondary education (colleges, trade schools, full-time employment opportunities, etc.).Every child deserves to reach their full potential, and we’re looking to hire an exceptional leader who will play an essential role in fueling student success.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plans and executes SEL for students to meet PDE compliance
- Provides and monitors crisis intervention. Facilitates and participates in discussion/planning/implementing sessions with the students’ teacher, therapist, and teaching assistant as to appropriate therapeutic interventions for students.
- Supports SESI’s behavioral model.
- Implements programs, events, and activities that increase student exposure to work-life, trade school, college, and other post-secondary opportunities.
- Additionally, supports and tracks students transitioning from secondary education to post-secondary education (colleges, trade schools, full-time employment opportunities, etc.)
- Coordinates and facilitates treatment team meetings.
- Facilitates de-briefing sessions on physical holds and significant events (as needed).
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications- Master's degree in Social Work, School Counseling, Speech Language, Occupational Therapy or related field.
- One of the following: certified school counselor, certified school psychologist, certified school social worker,, licensed social worker, licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, certified/licensed therapist, licensed psychologist or psychiatrist.
- Experience working in a therapeutic school and supervising staff preferred.
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible
