We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity in Livermore, California for a Customer Service Representative. As a key player on our team, you will handle a variety of tasks that ensure smooth and efficient customer service operations.

These tasks include processing customer purchase orders, managing customer inquiries, and maintaining communication with various internal departments. Work hours will be day shift M-F.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Handle direct general customer service for end-users and distribution partners
  • Prepare and submit customer quotes using Epicor
  • Process customer purchase orders upon receipt, ensuring accuracy in detail such as ship to address, need by dates, order price, customer part number, and quantity
  • Communicate order status updates to customers, providing commit/promise dates when available
  • Regularly monitor customer orders to ensure on-time delivery, escalating any issues when necessary
  • Collaborate with support departments such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Product Management
  • Manage returns process, including creating return documents and tracking returns through to completion
  • Adhere to all documented sales operations processes, and open corrective action cases in Epicor for process improvement opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

  • Prior experience of at least 1 year in a similar role or industry
  • Proficiency in using computer programs and software applications
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and their usage in a customer service context
  • Ability to process data accurately and efficiently
  • Experience with Epic Software is desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Experience in answering inbound calls and handling customer inquiries
  • Capability to perform billing functions and claim administration tasks
  • Familiarity with Epicor software would be beneficial
  • Ability to process returns and handle related customer interactions
  • Experience in inventory tracking and order management
  • Competency in managing customer shipments and related logistics
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Proficiency in email communications and correspondence
  • Ability to provide accurate price quotes to customers
  • Experience in providing quotes for products or services.
