General Purpose of Job
The Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Analyst I assists in monitoring and maintaining the AMI system and portions of the Meter Data Management System (MDMS). This position supports reviewing and analyzing reports from the AMI and MDMS systems to identify operational improvements.The AMI Analyst I also aids in providing end-user training and helps develop and maintain user manuals and documentation related to AMI. Additional responsibilities include assisting in gathering, reporting, and analyzing data on meter reading activities, supporting large power billing, pre-paid billing, and acting as back-up support for Revenue Recovery and Billing.

- Help maintain AMI and metering systems' performance within established guidelines.
- Ensure proper operation and utilization of meter device types.
- Perform ongoing status assessments of AMI systems and ensure reliable communication processes.
- Work closely with Information Technology to optimize system functionality and ensure data accuracy in operation and reporting.
- Assist in analyzing AMI, MDMS, NetSense, and MV90 data to generate necessary service orders and follow-up actions.
- Monitor and respond to system alarms, including AMI orphans, no-read reports, high/low validation, and communication status.
- Review and correct AMI meter and account data when necessary to ensure system accuracy.
- Assist with addressing member issues related to AMI and metering systems by troubleshooting problems based on member concerns, system alarms, and data analysis.
- Serve as a point of contact for resolving member-related concerns regarding metering systems and AMI functionality.
- Provide support and guidance to AMI system users.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and documentation related to AMI systems.
- Help provide end-user training to ensure effective use of AMI and MDMS systems.
