Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
  • Manages information management budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process, and database system strategy.
  • Manages the information strategy of the Bank based on forecasting information from senior management.
  • Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.
  • Responsible for managing and designing the technical infrastructure within the Bank.
  • Manages the effective delivery of networks, developments, and disaster recovery systems and processes.
  • Interfaces with industry on information management and information technology matters.
  • Prepares and manages internal and external IT audits and examinations.
  • Manages member issues requiring further IT investigation.
  • Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Manages the operation of server systems.
  • Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
  • Develops and maintains all the standards and procedures related to systems and documents to help users effectively use systems.
  • Responsible for installing and supporting PC/LAN/WAN hardware, software, communication links and technology, providing organizational project support, and managing department technology projects.
  • Ensures all IT activity is consistent with governance and control requirements.
  • Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
  • Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Develops business processes that ensure developed application meets all project requirements.
  • Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and training to IT staff.
  • Manages all daily operations of bank IT systems.
  • Supervises the assigned personnel.
