Simplified Entertainment is a highly respected event provider. Currently Simplified Entertainment has an opening for and energetic event booking inside sales person.
A live event booking agent is responsible for securing and managing engagements for artists, performers, novelty events, or speakers across various events and venues. Their primary duties include identifying potential clients, negotiating contracts, and arranging appearances that align with the company's goals and public image.

They act as a liaison between the talent and event organizers, ensuring that both parties' needs are met and that all logistical aspects of the engagement are handled smoothly.

Talent booking agents also play a crucial role in promoting their clients, seeking out new opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with industry professionals, such as venue owners, event planners, and producers. They often provide guidance on the artist's career trajectory, advising on suitable projects and helping to build their reputation in the entertainment world.

To excel in this role, a talent booking agent must possess excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the entertainment industry and market trends.

Job Roles & Responsibilities (This is what we would tell you in person): Handle inbound requests for events and make outbound calls to current and potential clients.

Email clients as appropriate to establish contact, follow up on details and close deals.
Make outbound calls to clients who have requested information, determine their needs/wants, educate them on our company and convert them into customers
Reach out and work with the speakers in order to match the speaker with the client and their event both regarding budget, dates and topics.
Enter each call/prospect/booing into Salesforce.
Maintain the relationship/contact with each of your customers up to and after each speaking event to ensure a successful speaking engagement and create long term relationships.
Suggest ways to improve our process, procedures and tools to increase sales and create an exceptional customer experience.

Work as a team member.

Qualifications: Minimum of Associate Degree. Business concentration is preferred or a Minimum of 3 year sales or retail experience

An ambitious salesperson that is driven by sales and closing deals
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
A positive attitude and a professional demeanor
Ability to multi task and work between multiple systems

Ability to work closely and effectively with a team in order to attain individual as well as team goals.

Compensation: $18 hour plus commissions
Hours: Typically, 8 AM to 5 PM EST, Monday to Friday

Here is what a typical day looks like for a full-time person: Start at 8 AM

  1. Begin the daily 50-100 warm calls
  2. Reply to incoming calls from the prior evening
  3. Reply to incoming emails from the prior evening
  4. Contact clients in the sales funnel
  5. 12 noon to 1 PM lunch
  6. Send emails and calls to book tour fill in dates
  7. Speak with artists about the past shows Call clients for follow up on past shows
  8. Create quotes and contracts
  9. 30 minutes before leaving, create a “to do list” for the next day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Camillus, NY (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Required)
