As an Accounts Receivable Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Review system work queues, insurance contracts, and other reports to identify third-party insurance accounts receivable balances to collect expected amounts due.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for supervising and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
  • Utilize computer skills to efficiently process customer credit applications.
  • Use EPIC software for healthcare collection processes and patient account management.
  • Ensure all duties are performed in line with quality standards.
  • Keep up to date with changes in insurance claims and contracts.
  • Complete mandatory educational requirements annually.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervising authority.

The ideal Accounts Receivable Clerk will have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service, ensuring patient satisfaction and resolution of queries.
  • Ability to maintain Quality standards in all tasks and interactions.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Knowledge of Contracts, specifically related to healthcare and insurance.
  • Familiarity with Insurance processes, including claims and reimbursements.
  • Supervising experience, capable of leading a team to achieve targets.
  • Understanding of Production operations within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Collection Processes, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with HealthCare.gov and its functionalities.
  • Strong Computer Skills, comfortable with using software and digital tools.
  • Experience in handling Insurance Claims, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Proficiency in Epic Software, used for managing patient records.
  • Understanding of Patient Account management, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Experience in managing Queues, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Knowledge of Third Party Insurance and its implications in patient financial services.
