Job Description: The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a self-motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to serve as a technical leader and solution manager for the agency's BI reporting tools, currently including Business Objects and Tableau Server.
The role involves: Leading the support and administration of enterprise-wide business intelligence and visualization applications (Business Objects, Tableau Researching and developing tools and solutions to enhance data usability and engagement across multiple program areas and supporting the acquisition of new tools.
Collaborating with enterprise-wide business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize BI data and information reporting needs. Solving complex technical problems and providing expertise in data visualization architecture, including dashboard and data security, as well as sharing considerations.
Optimizing the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data filters and indexing improvements that add value to users. Developing dashboard development standards, quality metrics, and testing methodologies. Designing and coordinating a curriculum for coaching and training customers on using business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making.

Developing standards, policies, and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of BI tools and systems. Researching new technology and developing business cases to support enterprise-wide BI solutions. Designing and coordinating the security model for BI tools, visualization data sets, user roles, and request processes.
