As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Responsibilities:
- Work involves most of the following:
- verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan and Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP).
- Work involves most of the following:
- Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
- May operate hand and power trucks (Forklifts) in performing warehousing duties. Perform all duties in an effective and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- US nationality/citizenship and residence, with verbal and written fluency in English.
- Must possess extensive working knowledge of the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) application software OR Logistics Information System (LIS) Installation Support Modules (ISM), depending on work location.
- All employees must be able to pass a background security investigation as well as drug/alcohol screening prior to employment.
- All applicants must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 87 days of employment.
- Candidates must submit certifications from GCSS-A knowledge for selection to this position.
Preferred Requirements:
- Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 92A-Automated Logistical Specialist (MOS) 92Y-Supply Specialist or have equivalent training.
- 4-6 years of experience within warehousing
