Sr. Accountant

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in New Berlin, Wisconsin, United States. The Sr. Accountant will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing financial analysis, overseeing expense tracking, and conducting bank reconciliations.
The role extends to maintaining financial records and managing cash flows in the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting bank reconciliations and making positive pay decisions
- Overseeing weekly expense tracking and conducting check runs
- Managing credit card payments, their reconciliation, and monitoring purchases
- Handling manual payments and various other transactions
- Recording payments made via credit card, ACH, checks, and PayTrace into the system
- Filing sales and use tax, this task can be managed by a bookkeeper
- Carrying out general financial analysis for the organization
- Ensuring monthly, quarterly, and year-end close outs are conducted smoothly
- Managing fixed assets within the organization
- Reporting on depreciation and accruals, this task would require detailed financial analysis
- Overseeing cash flow management, a task that could be managed by a bookkeeper or accountant. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must
- Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation effectively
- Should be adept at Bank Reconciliations
- Thorough knowledge of General Ledger management
- Proficient in preparing and managing Journal Entries
- Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with NetSuite software is desired
- Working knowledge of Oracle software is preferred
- Experience with SAP software is a plus
