Job Description

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute maintenance schedules and procedures to keep all machinery and equipment in top working condition.
  • Collaborate with production managers to plan and carry out maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to production schedules.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to detect and resolve issues before they become major problems.
  • Monitor expenses and manage the maintenance budget, including parts inventory and purchase orders, to ensure efficient resource use while upholding high standards of equipment performance and safety.
  • Lead and train the maintenance team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supervise the installation, repair, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.

The Successful Applicant

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will have what follows:

  • Over 5 years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally within a chemical plant.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
