Part-time Speech Language Pathologist (Acute)

Position Summary:
Responsible for evaluating patients and developing treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available,family and
- Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives.
- Provides care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload.
- Assesses data reflective of the patient’s status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each
departmental policies and procedures.
- Competent in the use, care and maintenance of profession specific equipment, observes safety precautions and
- Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate, and prepares written documentation as
- Recognizes and communicates when the patient has received optimal benefit from speech therapy.
- Ensures accurate billing for own therapy services.
- Understands and respects age group, cultural and religious beliefs of clients, community and staff.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Respects the rights and privacy of others and holds staff member information in strictconfidence.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Education/TrainingMaster’s degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may apply.
Licensure/Certification- Certificate of Clinical Competence or active engagement in Clinical Fellowship Year Requirements.
- Maintains current Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida. Provisional license is acceptable.
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
