Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
The Customer Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating product shipping and distribution through use of vendor portals and direct communication with the customer service team. Other responsibilities include training of other associates, dockworkers, and customer service representatives as it relates to shipping processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Route and process orders on a daily basis.
- Navigate online vendor portals to route shipments accurately based on vendor requirements.
- Train and drive efficiency and accurateness throughout the order process to ensure excellent customer satisfaction while minimizing cost.
- Review bill of ladings, freight terms and LTL carriers as needed.
- Coordinate with dock associates and carriers to ensure timely shipment of product to customers.
- Collaborate with customer service to resolve issues, track down orders and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Take ownership of specific customer’s orders as directed by supervisor to ensure timely, cost-efficient transportation to our customers.
- Coordinate with receiving team members to direct inbound drivers to appropriate doors for unloading.
- Available for over-time as needed.
- Participate in off-season projects throughout the DC.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. College degree a plus
- 3 years minimum working in a warehouse setting
- Microsoft Office experience
- 3 years previous experience with freight transportation
- Organized, process, and detailed oriented
- Deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to train and coach other team-members
- Intermediate to excellent computer skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven detailed oriented and multi-tasking skills
- Flexible scheduling around lunch and breaks
Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time.
