In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close.

How you will make an impact- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Compose journal entries and conduct the month-end close with minimal supervision
- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

- High attention to detail
- 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
