Remote - AWS Production Support Specialist (Financial Exp) - On-
This role requires someone who is passionate about understanding the root causes of system inefficiencies and is committed to improving the overall functionality of our systems. While financial business knowledge can be acquired on the job, the ability to think critically and maintain attention to detail is paramount.Key Responsibilities:Production Support:Provide ongoing support for financial systems, ensuring optimal performance and quick resolution of issues.
Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot incidents as they arise.Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:Analyze and resolve technical issues by employing structured thinking and root cause analysis. Work closely with development teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.System Optimization:Continuously assess system performance and make recommendations for enhancements.
Focus on optimizing AWS environments to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and understand business needs.Documentation:Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Ensure that knowledge is shared and accessible across the team.Qualifications:Experience:Minimum of three years of related work experience, with at least one year of experience in Information Technology.Prior experience in financial systems and production support is highly desirable.Technical Expertise:Strong technical background with experience in AWS development and operating environments.AWS Developer or Architect certifications are preferred.Education:An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.Skills:Ability to think and troubleshoot in a structured manner, identifying the root causes of technical issues.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A passion for learning and a desire to understand why systems function in a suboptimal manner.
