Our client is a dynamic and growing construction firm based out of Fitchburg, MA known for its family-oriented culture and commitment to excellence in the lab and life sciences sectors with most of their projects based around Cambridge. They have over 25 years of experience and a reputation for quality work, they are looking to expand our team with a skilled Project Manager who is ready to make an impact.

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Manage 2-5 projects concurrently, ensuring successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Oversee scheduling and material management to optimize project work flows.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates and resolving concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Facilitate coordination among various teams and subcontractors involved in the projects.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and budgets.
  • Mentor and support junior team members as needed.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in project management (lab, life sciences, or MEP).
  • Technical Skills: Strong in process piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems; knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam.
  • Leadership: Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for clear collaboration.
  • Problem Solver: Proactive and adaptable, with innovative solutions.
  • Cultural Fit: Self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible, and possesses a sense of humor.
