Part-Time Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous Accounting Specialist for a PART-TIME, fully in-office role expected to last six months. The Accounting Specialist will work 20 hours/wk and have some flexibilty on schedule as long as it is consistent each week and hours are between Mon - Fri and 8AM to 5PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: You will process all vendor invoices for a single entity, including check and ACH payments
• Fleet Management: You will provide assistance in managing our vehicle fleet, particularly in vehicle registrations, such as adding or removing vehicles from our insurance, managing titles and plates
• Credit Card Expense Reporting: You will review all credit card statements and match all expenses to corresponding receipts
• Bank Reconciliation: You will carry out daily bank reconciliation and handle daily transfers.
• Sales Tax Filings: You will be responsible for filing sales taxes across more than 20 states. The current person in-charge will hand off this responsibility to you, and guide you through the process.

We are looking for someone detailed, diligent, and able to work autonomously.

• 2+ years of accounts payable and bank reconciliation experience
• ability to multi-task
• ability to commit to a set schedule of 20 hrs/wk
• excellent communicator
• prior experience working in accounting softwares such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, SAGE, etc. preferred
• intermediate knowledge of Excel including creating complex formulas
