Inspect and measure parts to determine conformance to specifications through use of precision measuring equipment. Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others as needed to satisfactorily resolve recommended roll preventative maintenance and repairs.
Perform agreed upon roll preventative maintenance and repairs. Reassemble rolls after repairs and maintenance. Perform all job requirements according to procedures as outlined in the VOITH Quality Manual, Company Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Reports problems to higher levels of authority as required by the Quality System. All other duties that may be assigned. Requirements: Must possess good mechanical aptitude. Previous assembly, mechanical maintenance, paper machine roll service, or millwright experience is desired.
High School graduate or equivalent is required. Vocational school graduate or apprenticeship in machining, millwright, mechanical maintenance, or equivalent is desired, but not required. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is a plus.
